Can you get a CNIC copy online?
It depends on what you mean by “true copy.” NADRA does not allow you to download a black-and-white or color copy of your CNIC online. However, there are a few ways to get a copy of your CNIC online:
- If you have a relative or friend who works at NADRA, they may be able to help you get a copy of your CNIC.
- If you have already saved or uploaded a copy of your CNIC to an online platform such as Gmail or Facebook, you can download it from there.
What type of CNIC copy can you get online?
NADRA used to offer a service where you could download a color copy of your CNIC for Rs. 50 by providing your CNIC number and date of issue. This service was known as “Verification of CNIC.” However, NADRA has discontinued this service.
The CNIC copy that you could download from this service was not a true copy of your original CNIC. It was slightly different so that people could tell the difference between the copy and the original.
Can you get a CNIC copy with just the CNIC number?
No. Before NADRA discontinued the “Verification of CNIC” service, you needed to provide both your CNIC number and date of issue to get a copy of your CNIC. Even then, the copy was not a true copy of the original.
Now that the “Verification of CNIC” service has been discontinued, you cannot get a copy of your CNIC online, even if you have both your CNIC number and the date of issue.
Here are some additional tips for getting a copy of your CNIC:
- You can visit a NADRA registration center to get a copy of your CNIC. You will need to pay a fee and provide proof of identity.
- You can also request a copy of your CNIC by mail. You will need to complete a form and provide proof of identity.
