What is a NADRA Smart Card?

Did you know that NADRA offers a Smart Card? It’s a more secure and versatile version of the traditional NIC card. The Smart Card has a microchip that stores your biometric data, like fingerprints and facial recognition, as well as your personal information, like your name, address, date of birth, and gender.

The Smart Card can be used for a bunch of things, like:

• Verifying your identity for voting, banking, and travel.
• Signing documents electronically.
• Controlling access to buildings, computers, and other resources.
• Accessing e-government services, like online tax filing and education records.

The main difference between a CNIC and a Smart Card is that the Smart Card has a chip that stores your biometric data and personal information. The CNIC doesn’t have this chip.

  • Urgent: PKR 1,500
  • Executive: PKR 2,500
• Smart NICOP
  • Zone A (USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Brunei)
    • Normal: USD 39
    • Urgent: USD 57
    • Executive: USD 75
  • Zone B (Rest of the world)
    • Normal: USD 20
    • Urgent: USD 30
    • Executive: USD 40

The processing time for a smart card application is also different for each type of card.

You can apply for a smart card online through the NADRA website or at any NADRA office. You will need to provide your personal information, including your fingerprints, and pay the application fee.
